In my work, I recreate my meditative experience observing clouds on hundreds of passenger flights during the past few years. In times where our attention span is measured in seconds and digital stress becomes a widespread disease, watching clouds not only offers comforting relaxation but sparks one’s imagination. My visualizations aim to slow down the observer with their unanticipated depth and to experience this calm.
The photo collages were created from photo series taken on passenger flights across North America. They were stitched into panoramas using software and lightly retouched on the edges to allow smooth connections into a sphere. Colours were not enhanced.
